A lovely set of 3 silhouettes which were very popular in the 18th century and given as an alternative to a painted portrait. Their popularity carried on through the 19th & early 20th century.
Sadly along with many other traditional techniques, there was a lesser demand for this type of painting but I’ve always loved them and have my own personal collection.
