A lovely example of French marquetry from the early 20th century. The bedside table is made of Kingwood traditional herringbone veneers, super line strung cartouches to both sides, front and top. It has elegant and gently shaped cabriole legs finished with gilt brass embellishments, fruitwood marquetry flower detail to the top and front drawer (there is one small repair to the left side veneer which is shown in one of the images). The drawer has a stopper, meaning it avoids any accidents of it falling out. An overall beautiful piece and in wonderful condition for its age.
- Kingwood (also know as violet wood) & fruitwood
